This afternoon we went to the shopping centre. Our Thursday evening trip was cancelled because Elsie's class ran late, so today was the day.
Whirlwind Jessica kept us on our toes, and Willem thought he would give it a go for a while, too. He changed his mind when he understood he wouldn't get a treat if he continued.
Our purchases included clothes for Elsie, a butter dish, hair accessories, electric hand beater, and best of all, baby clothes. Mum wanted to give Benjamin a gift, and we found the most adorable jeans/shirt/vest outfit, and two pants/long sleeved top outfits. I love shopping for babies!
The children's treat was a bag of piping hot donuts. We sat outside KMart at Donut King and polished off 24 donuts in record time.
Benjamin had slept in the sling the whole time until the very end of our shop. So while we enjoyed the donuts I fed him. He enjoyed looking around at the lights and movements of people.
It was late when we arrived home, so we ended up with beans on toast for tea. But Josiah whipped up a batch of meringues that we ate for dessert.
